Nitro fuel usually costs about 30 bucks, but i guess it varies..
If your considering getting in to the nitro part of the rc hobby, you must consider one very important thing. Nitro cars require alot of time and patience. Sometimes they wont start, other days they’ll start right up. It requires knowledge of tuning engines which can be a pain in the rear. Without proper tuning, they can can randomly shut down while driving. THey are very tempermental to temperature changes as well, so your constantly tuning it. Another thing is that you have to occasionally get new tires, replace or upgrade broken parts, buy new fuel, and other regualar maintenence. Nitro (and most large scale rc’s) really drain your wallet. And the last thing that really contributed to the selling of my nitro truck is the every day maintenence. After every hour of usage, you have to clean out the air filter which takes a while (to make sure its dry) and then put a few drops of air filter oil in there. Also, you have to run after-run oil through the engine and carburator after every use. That can take a while if you really care for your car. Of course, there are also fun things about nitro. The smoke and realism of it which can’t be found in electrics. For the same price of some of the nicer nitros, you can get a brushless system for electric and get speeds of up 50 mph on a truck and nearly 70 on a car. So if its speed you want, brushless is alot less of a hassle.
