So you’re interested in finding out more about gas RC cars and trucks but are not sure what type of model is right for you? The first step to deciding which RC (radio controlled) is gaining an understanding of the various models that are available, including even the electric powered cars.
To begin, RC cars range quite extensively from very basic models that really have no steering mechanism other than stationary and forward to high-end competitive racing models. In addition, these cars have different power sources. Typically the smaller RC cars are powered with electric motors using rechargeable batteries or other cells. Probably the biggest downside to these electric powered RC vehicles is their limitation of speed and the drawback of minimal customization options in the performance/speed arena.
This is where the fuel powered or gas RC cars and trucks come into the picture. A gas RC car allows for the speed to be moderated through customization of the engine and has a much more responsive throttle. A gas powered RC use small internal combustion engines or glow plug engines that commonly use gas/oil combinations to power them.
Another big advantage of the fuel powered RC cars over their electric counterparts is the ability to simply refill the gas tank of the gas RC cars and you’re back in action. With the electric models there is some work to replace the batteries from their compartment and replace the discharged batteries…not to mention the difficulty to put the electric RC back into action if there are no new batteries!!
You should be able to see now that while both the electric and gas RC vehicles have their pros and cons, the gas RC cars typically are more powerful, can be put back into action quicker and simply provide a completive and entertaining experience. The vehicles start at around a couple hundred dollars and into the thousands depending on your involvement and the kind of customizations you want on your car. But in the end, if you’re competing with your buddies, the bragging rights over the coolest RC car and the coolest tricks is what its all about!!
For any enthusiast or wanna-be enthusiast, starting out with one of the basic gas RC cars is strongly recommended.

what is with the question marks and the and of every sentence when you are not asking a question but you are answering a question insted. By the way i would recomend a electric over a gas for beginers over gas becouse they recuire far less matninance then a gas they has less thing that you need to tune, they cost less, they are easier to run, and the have less parts to break. Gas cars requier gas which cost money, they have more parts to break, they cost more, they go to fast for a beginner to control, and if you want one that does not break every time you run it they you have to pay upwerds of $400.
