Gas Powered RC Cars can Reawaken the Inner Child

For some of you, there are certain smells and sounds that allow you to go back to fond memories in your past; things like warm apple pie at Grandma's house or the smell of gas powered RC cars being raced in your driveway! Yes I know, the apple pie was a cliched comment, but you get the point.

As adults we tend to become overwhelmed with the responsibilities of adulthood and occasionally need that break from work to just let go and have a little fun. For some people, getting together with friends and racing their gas RC cars is just the recipe they need to relax. These remote control vehicles let you feel young again, even if some of them are much more expensive than what you were given as a child!

The real draw with gas powered RC cars is their ability for customization. This provides you with the opportunity to tweak the cars, whether it is their engines, performance or the exterior appearance (like a paint job); the owner of the car can then proudly show it off.

If you have never experienced the entertainment that can be had with racing gas RC cars...or any of the RC cars, you might be somewhat intimidated. And don't feel bad because there are a lot of things to consider when looking at RC cars.

In an earlier post, it was mentioned that the cars start out with very basic functionality and range all the way up to high end controls, steering and engine performance. The prices range from just a few dollars to hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars! But fear not, even if you do not have a ton of money, you can still get an RC car that will provide you with hours of fun.

The best way to get up to speed and learn about all of the features that every RC car has including gas RC cars, you will be doing yourself a huge favor by getting a guide to show you the way. There is a book called the RC Cars Bible, and it truly is an A to Z guide on everything RC.

Don't wait any longer to get your hands on this guide and find out where to get or build your gas RC cars and then go out and find that inner child and have fun!

How fast should my gas powered RC car stop>?

Posted on in gas powered rc cars by Admin

How fast was it going?
What tires does it have?
What surfaces are you driving on?
How much brake do you have applied?

I've seen who have very little, if any brake setting so they loose very little speed. I've also seen cars that lock up the tires at the drop of a hat, but wind up sliding out of control.

In general, you probably want it to stop quick enough so that you maintain control. If you are new to driving one, better to be a little slower and cautious till you build up some confidence and skills. Safer for people and property around you as well as your gas rc cars.
